Looking to the Future: GAT Expo 2025 in Mexico City

(Cancun).- José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, Gaming & Technology and Miguel Ángel Ochoa, President of AIEJA, Association of Licensees, Operators and Suppliers of the Entertainment and Gambling Industry, announce an agreement to continue the first shared experience at GAT Caribe Cancún, expanding the horizon of the new fair in Mexico by moving the headquarters to CDMX, on August 20 and 21, 2025.

Thus, and once the alliance for next year in CDMX was announced, several brands have made the decision to mark their territory at GAT Expo México 2025, an event that promises to be a milestone for the Latin American gaming industry. 

José Aníbal Aguirre says: “The connection of Ainsworth, Pragmatic Play, Novomatic, Merkur, Interblock and other multinationals that have contacted us today, means a great boost to take off with this new project. Of course, the Mexican industry linked to AIEJA is the cornerstone of GAT Expo Mexico 2025, which is shaping up to be one of the most relevant fairs on the continent with an innovative program that will include events such as an exclusive golf tournament for casino operators and the holding of the V AIEJA International Convention.”



Registration data shows the presence of executives from four continents
The event held last week at the Cancún International Center featured an academy, exhibition stands and networking, three unmissable components that attracted the attendance of business representatives from different segments of the gaming ecosystem with bets in the country and executives of global brands from four continents with their eyes set on current and future investment and expansion projects in Mexico.

These are the 31 countries that had 320 business delegates as visitors to GAT Caribe Cancun: Germany, Netherlands Antilles, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Bulgaria, Brazil, Chile, Cyprus, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain, United States, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Dominican Republic, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Sweden, Uruguay, Venezuela, and of course Mexico.

Mexico's esports ecosystem joins GAT Esports
At GAT Caribe Cancun, a key meeting with the e-sports ecosystem also took place, after a meeting between the CEO of GAT and leaders of ACE Esports, a renowned tournament organizer in Mexico and Latin America. The parties have agreed in principle to formulate an action plan that will impact and expand communities in the vibrant esports market in the region, holding national and international championships that highlight the best teams and players from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Colombia, with a view to participating in tournaments in Europe in 2026.

AIEJA Assembly
Within the framework of GAT Caribe Cancun, on Tuesday, November 26, the 52nd AIEJA Assembly was held, for the first time outside its usual venue in the capital of Mexico, with the massive attendance of more than 130 affiliates and special guests. GAT Expo, a partner of the entity since 2023, will join the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the same and will support its programs and actions in terms of communications.
